MRINETWORK® CONTINUES TO SUPPORT ST. JUDE’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL DESPITE DIFFICULT ECONOMY

(Philadelphia) – MRINetwork®, one of the world’s largest executive search and recruitment organizations, is pleased to report its latest donation of $45,000 to St. Jude Children's Hospital. The money was raised at the MRINetwork Charity Golf Classic in Hilton Head.

This year's donation brings MRINetwork’s total donation to St. Jude's over the past three years to $120,000. The Charity Golf Classic was initiated when Rice Day, owner of MRINetwork office  Day-Wrenn LLC in Chapel Hill, proposed the idea to his fellow owners. “I wanted our network to come together as one community to help those in need,” said Day. “This is about giving back to the communities we serve every day."

Like all charitable institutions, St. Jude's has taken a major hit during the recent recession, which has forced many of its supporters to reduce or eliminate their contributions to the hospital. “Our donation is playing a part in keeping the hospital's doors open during these difficult times,” added Day.

MRINetwork Corporate and its parent company, CDI Corporation, also provided invaluable assistance in making this year's event a success. “Over 80 percent of our network members participated in this year-long effort from purchasing raffle tickets at regional meetings to bidding on auction items and playing in the golf tournament,” said Tony McKinnon, president of MRINetwork. “And some of our trusted vendors stepped up to help this year, even though they were experiencing their own challenges with the current economy.”

The organization plans to build on the momentum it has created. “We’ve already begun planning for next year’s Charity Golf Classic,” said Day. “We’re committed to raising even more money to help this wonderful institution fulfill its mission to children everywhere.”
